Winter will take you by surprise. The fells previously bursting with autumn orange colour turn white overnight. The remarkable snow-capped fells, the beautiful sunsets and the clear night sky are just some of the reasons we love exploring the Lake in winter.

An endless wandering adventure around the Lake and the dam is the perfect inspiration for a fashion editorial photoshoot. We have made our acquaintance with the horses of the saloon splashing their feet and drinking water at the shallows of the Lake, we have taken rides with water bikes and ended keeping company to a few trees guarding the shore. Let’s leave the Greek islands and the Aegean for a while and follow us to discover a hidden gem of the Greek Mainland.

Limni Plastira.

Located in Karditsa regional unit, near the city of Karditsa, Greece just beneath the more famous Meteora Limni Plastira or Lake Plastiras if you prefer is n artificial Lake fed by Tavropos (Megdovas). The Lake is named after the Greek general and politician Nikolaos Plastiras, who was the first to visualize the construction of an artificial lake in the area.

Today the Lake holds up to 400 million cubic meters of fresh water. Used for irrigation, a power source, and is the primary water source of the city Karditsa. Due to its altitude (one of the highest in Europe), the Tavropos Reservoir is a popular tourist resort in Greece, as the formed landscape is quite unique.
