Sandra and Romain. Crossed borders and bridged distances between their worlds and ours. And it was like we had known them forever. From France to Hong Kong, carrying with them dreams to travel the world, their wings of love, and two very special, very tiny teddy bears. Two destinations marked their paths. One of them was Athens. Athina. Our ever controversial city and the name of a goddess. A city with a heritage of a classical era, so evident in the center.
We spent time with them, we talked a lot, we shared love for this part of the world, we created memories, photographs and bonds. We can endlessly scout and photograph in this city, with the challenging light. As we were strolling beyond the streets of the theater of Herod, Sandra stopped and mentioned the amazing color of the sky. It was the bluest blue youve ever seen, and full of hope and smells. Later in the day along with our mood came the shades of orange, to colour us with hope and yet more dreams to keep us going. Then, “the sky grew darker, painted blue on blue, one stroke at a time, into deeper and deeper shades of night.”
We called it a day… not able to resist dinner under the starry sky with the sight of the parthenon right there in front of our eyes and we made plans for the next destination. Mykonos.

Once upon a time
“Meaning comes from the unknown, from the stranger, from the unpredictable that suddenly knocks at your door — a flower that suddenly blooms and you never expected it; a friend that suddenly happens to be on the street you were not waiting for; a love that blooms suddenly and you were not even aware that this was going to happen, you had not even imagined, not even dreamed. Then life has meaning. Then life has a dance. Then every step is happy because it is not a step filled with duty, it is a step moving into the unknown. The river is going towards the sea.”
Our destination was a choice from the heart. The island of fjord-shaped tropical beaches, spectacular rocks and sea caves, majestic domes, seas of olives meeting friendly harbours,. We admit this wonderful setup always goes well beyond our highest expectations. Paxoi. The charm of this island will hook you, with its greenery running down to the glittering water, ever so blue it makes your heart break.
Poseidon, the God of the Sea, broke this piece of the world off Corfu with his trident when he needed a god-deserving place to live his love with the Nereid Amphitrite.
Any resemblance to persons and situations is purely not coincidental. But.. in this island there was love. Irrevocably and confirmed.
And there is nothing more exciting than taking new steps, το the magic that dwells with each beginning. Xenia and Pantelis, so different, so same, so made to fit into the most adventurous puzzle ever created, life.
Wedding in Paxoi
We have always worked with amazing couples who never cease to amaze us with their sense of adventure and love for each other. We always draw our motivation and inspiration by the people we meet along the way. Constantly looking out for the unique and the beauty within. Our personal development has given us a unique perspective on what it really takes to create truly memorable photographs and a unique experience into the amazing wedding day. Photography for us is the bond between the past the present and the future. To succeed in having captured the intensity of the essence of life, in every hundredth of a second.
Paxoi was a great paradise… But greater were Pantelis and Xenia, their families their friends their hospitality, their feelings and finally the energy that will remain, forever and happily ever after – and here was a story that had to be told. Real photographs of real people.
We had an amazing beach party day at until the early morning :-)

And you will hardly find wrong people at special places. Like every time we go to Symi… To find special people who make it happen. And it was like love at first sight.
Helen and Jean, from Ireland and France. With a love for Symi, life music and each other. When we asked Helen to describe Jean, she said “the best thing that ever happened to me”
Helen, the eccentric girl from Belfast, an artist, an animal lover, whose passion in life is the endless pursuit of being the best person she can be.
Jean, in a French accent you will fall for, instantly, and the genuinest gentle smile you have ever seen, seeking gems in all that lies beyond… A person you definitely feel blessed to have met..
As prejudiced as we may sound, nothing can be more inspiring for a wedding photographer that the magic of seeing through the heart.
“It is only with the heart that one can see, hear and feel clearly. Think of an image, music or movie that moves you. Things that we truly love touch our heart before our head analyzes them away. Once we think we understand them, they disappear… It is because simple things in life are invisible, inaudible and insensible to an analytical mind and an undiscerning heart. Symi Wedding Photography
We are not at all surprised they chose Symi as the perfect backdrop for their wedding. And we were honoured they chose us as their wedding photographers.
The magic fills you just as you approach the port. You have the overwhelming feeling of entering a perfectly painted image of a scenic traditional village. And you remain agape with this spectacular sight.
You cannot resist the superb spectacle of Symi stretching its impeccable architecture – almost photoshoped colorful houses listed on the slopes of the surrounding hills. You cannot stop marveling the breathtaking sight that belies your expectation. And the sea… The infinite blue… But bluer!
Symi is more than words or photos can say!
And special places make special bonds, our favorite place to be.
Let’s pause at that, but not for long. We have a promise to fulfill – to take them back to Symi, again and again.
For five amazing days we shared and enjoyed their passion for life, their hospitality and their friendship. It was like we has known them forever. The memorable cruise of Posseidon and Cpt Yiannis, whose unforgettable lunches on the beach keep us dreaming throughout winter. Preparations and the ceremony took place at the Iapetos Hotel and the reception took place at Haritomeni overlooking the amazing scenery of the Symi bay.

The Scenery
This has been the perfect scenery for the perfect wedding. Sifnos, the choice of Ari and Alê, the island that combined the exclusivity of the selected few, for a traditional Greek touch to their special day. The romantic and raw ambience of the island and its hospitable aura create the ideal backdrop for this beautiful wedding.
Pre wedding stories
They had an amazing party the night before at the Folie in Kamares, the absolute every day must. The capricious weather of the day, chose to give us the most amazing sunset. Later in the evening and as the party was building up, spectacular thunders were crisscrossing the horizon, as if to collaborate to the celebration of the day to come. And there was drinking and dancing. Brazil and Greece, different, yet so similar in their impulsive expression of joy.
The wedding day in Sifnos
Their preps took place at the Light House Residences, with friends and families. We have a soft spot for preparations. highly emotional, elaborately mixed, with tears of joy, loved ones always collaborating to the build up of impatience as the clock ticks closer to the countdown.
Ari, the most beautiful eyes we have ever seen. Blue, but more. Where almost nothing need be said. Alê, the most amazing smile, so genuinely sweet, with just the right portion of shyness and warmth. As Ari kept saying, “everything about her is beautiful”.
Their choice for the religious wedding ceremony was bold and unique, as most couples choose Chrissopigi for their wedding. A small country church, the monastery of Timios Stavros, overlooking the sea. A breathtaking view and a magic sunset, their most becoming enviroment. Where love knew, it was called love. For this day and forever.
The party in Fassolou, went on until early morning hours, the Greek – Brazilian way, a fascinating combination on the dance floor. We were there to share this day with them and hand them back their trust. A gift to safe keep and share. Images that speak to their hearts.
For Ari and Alê, and for everything we shared during your happy days in Sifnos, the island that became the ideal backdrop for your beautiful wedding. Thank you for trusting us both as professionals but also as friends. For the most graceful, heartfelt and honest smiles.
