Hash tag #pepefaiou and who could know ..

When she grows up she wants to be a ballerina spinning.
Impatient…
Who could know but Elon Musk.
In Rotterdam.
Where things went out of hand.
But who could know?

And as there are no ways of knowing for sure,
there are these special ways of knowing
for pretty sure.

Over a game of playstation.
Over a well cooked meal.

In just a split of a second
or a split of it,
between everyday lines

That it is, in the knowing that we grow
and love will expand to contain us.

But who would know?
Over a glass of wine,
over this one,
particularly this one twitch of the lip.

Because theres always someone who knows something.

About fairy tales.
Abstract and unique,
reflective by nature.

Fairy tales, that project on us as we project on them.
Like words that we make up
to giggle,
to share,
to intimacy,
to special meanings,
to odd translations.

To friendship.
But who would know,
but old best friends
and new ones.

To care and share.
To shed a tear for the lost of childhood,
and the untangleable bonds,
that will remain forever and ever.

But who could know that some things are meant to be, as we met again and again, on friends weddings and we were chosen instinctively. As we chose them. It was inevitable for here was a story that had to be told.

#3 History in the making

The Scenery // Spetses

An amazing island. A destination that will stay in your heart and make you smile every time you think of it. An island that will seduce you and make your life easier as your wedding destination.

Blessed by its beauty. Too pretty, too accessible and too popular. An elegant choice for #pepefaiou and a perfect match.

One could tell that It was going to be Spetses.
This is an island where your senses immediately come alive: the air, refreshingly warm, carries the smell of the sea one moment, then freshly baked pastries the next. Locals drink their espressos and frappés as they play backgammon in the shade and eye the latest arrivals climbing out of the red-and-white water taxis.

Around the corner from the port, the winding, cobbled coastal road opens into a wide, expansive piazza that acts as a forecourt for the Poseidonion, a grand, august hotel styled like a château and modelled on the Carlton in Cannes and the Negresco in Nice.
There is something timeless about the square, and indeed the island itself. It is as close to the idyllic Hellenic picture as you can imagine: fishermen lay out their catch by the seafront as the locals stroll along the promenade, past impressive villas, domed churches and traditional tavernas with tables lining the road. Cars being banned from the town,   horse-drawn carriages rattle through the backstreets
The Venetians named the island Spezia, meaning spice , but it could just as well have been after the powerful scents of jasmine and pine , bougainvillea and hibiscus. But then we could go on forever, about this and about #pepefaiou and anything about this wedding.

The amazing venue of Poseidonion Grand Hotel was going to host the preparation of Faye. Hospitality, and belle epoque style luxury, only fitting to our special bride to be. The groom and his friends at a private villa – enjoying the swimming pool until the very last minute. A beautiful coach carried our bride to Agios Nikolaos a church overlooking the old harbour.

The reception  was to take place at the well known “Kaiki”. The beautiful decoration of Fevronia and organized by Mae Mavroudi of Greek Weddings made the world of a difference.

This was a wedding to remember. And these are two people we will always keep deep in our hearts.

And who would know?

If a man asks a girl for a date…
That’s his business.
If the girl accepts…
That’s her business.
If the man and the girl decide to marry…
That’s their business.
However, if they want great wedding photographs…
THAT’S OUR BUSINESS!!!

The Scenery

This has been the perfect scenery for the perfect wedding. Sifnos, the choice of Ari and Alê, the island that combined the exclusivity of the selected few, for a traditional Greek touch to their special day. The romantic and raw ambience of the island and its hospitable aura create the ideal backdrop for this beautiful wedding.

Pre wedding stories

They had an amazing party the night before at the Folie in Kamares, the absolute every day must. The capricious weather of the day, chose to give us the most amazing sunset. Later in the evening and as the party was building up, spectacular thunders were crisscrossing the horizon, as if to collaborate to the celebration of the day to come. And there was drinking and dancing. Brazil and Greece, different, yet so similar in their impulsive expression of joy.

Their preps took place at the Light House Residences, with friends and families. We have a soft spot for preparations. highly emotional, elaborately mixed, with tears of joy, loved ones always collaborating to the build up of impatience as the clock ticks closer to the countdown.

Ari, the most beautiful eyes we have ever seen. Blue, but more. Where almost nothing need be said. Alê, the most amazing smile, so genuinely sweet, with just the right portion of shyness and warmth. As Ari kept saying, “everything about her is beautiful”.

Their choice for the religious wedding ceremony was  bold and unique, as most couples choose Chrissopigi for their wedding. A small country church, the monastery of  Timios Stavros, overlooking the sea. A breathtaking view and a magic sunset, their most becoming enviroment. Where love knew, it was called love. For this day and forever.

The party in Fassolou, went on until early morning hours, the Greek – Brazilian way, a fascinating combination on the dance floor. We were there to share this day with them and hand them back their trust. A gift to safe keep and share. Images that speak to their hearts.

For Ari and Alê, and for everything we shared during your happy days in Sifnos, the island that became the ideal backdrop for your beautiful wedding. Thank you for trusting us both as professionals but also as friends. For the most graceful, heartfelt and  honest smiles.

We have been travelling around the globe for unforgettable weddings and editorials but  being a wedding photographer in Venice is always an experience for us, such, as was our first visit. You simply fall in love with Venice.

Why I Love Venice

“Venice is the consummate magician. It makes marble palaces vanish into silent fogs. Labyrinthine calli (streets) disappear at the whim of moody tides, and can even turn the most pedestrian of people into fantastical, masked creatures. Just like its world-famous Carnevale, Venice thrives on mystery and awe. From the secret passageways that riddle Gothic Palazzo Ducale, to the esoteric powers of the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute to the inexplicable radiance of Titian’s Assunta altarpiece. After countless sojourns, I am yet to tire of the place. Some spells are simply too hard to break.” By Cristian Bonetto, Writer

We came to Venice a few months ago, for a wedding editorial photo shoot. An amazing destination, since it never fails to make you fall in love with the magic… in its essence. And she is a natural. You can see, you can almost feel and you can smell. Its in the air. Venice is breathing, and you are mesmerized. We  photographed at The Grand Canal, reflecting the glories of the Venetian architecture lining its limitless banks. At the end of  Venice’s signature waterway Palazzo Ducale and Basilica di San Marco added our shots double exclamation marks. Only until we saw what was hiding in the narrow back streets. No other place could be more becoming to the elegant Bridal Collection “Air” by the talented designer Mairi Mparola.

Imagine this backdrop and picture yourselves celebrating the most important days of your life in Venice. The Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge, and San Marco Square, timeless beauty. The ciccheti bars of Venice or meandering through the lesser known parts of Venice, Castello or  Cannareggio. The unquestionable charm of the isles Burano and Murano. You can never forget the first site of Venice and the emotions you encounter over the splendour of this city which is built on water.

A wedding in Venice is probably one of the most exclusive and spectacular option for those who love italy. The incomparable mood will remain etched in your memory forever. A wedding photographer will always find a spot to create the most amazing images.

We would travel the world to be your Storytellers and Venice is one of our favorites. We will be happy to share with you what we have discovered.

Are you searching for a

Wedding Photographer in Athens

This page will give you the real feel of a wedding in one of the Athens riviera wedding venues: Ktima 48 in Leof. Athinon Souniou 48th km, Anavissos.

Ioannis & Kallia organised a three days wedding experience for their European guests. How do you combine the best of Athens Riviera & Sounio into a unique experience for your guests?

Our couple came up with a perfect solution. Their happiest days started with a beach party the day before the wedding at the Aegeon Hotel and ended with a Tour at the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio, late in the evening. Nowhere is the energy of Ancient Greece more evident than at Cape Sounion. The sun was setting on us and the view from the Temple was a breathtaking experience. The idyllic sun down was one of the most iconic sights we have ever seen.

“The first stab of love is like a sunset, a blaze of color — oranges, pearly pinks, vibrant purples…”

in Ktima 48

A romantic wedding

Yannis and Kallia, having travelled  from London, with  friends and families from all over the world, were present this day. Ktima 48, the always impressive location overlooking Sounio Bay.

The amazing scenery from the picturesque chapel that never fails to inspire us.We were privileged to have met them, to have been, to have seen, to have witnessed and to have captured, Images from the Heart.

We photographed their wedding, as would a friend, one who wished to inspire them, to make them laugh, to make this experience as joyful and as meaningful as the life that lies ahead of them. To secure and to safe keep their memories and laughter for happily ever after.
This is the story of their wedding. As we have seen, felt and captured it.

First of all, this was an amazing year for us. Travelling around the globe for unforgettable weddings and Editorials. So after right after our Chicago trip, Venice was next. Being a wedding photographer in Venice is just beyond description!

We_Crociferi // A one of a kind hostel in Venice

It only took us a site visit to discover the ultimate match to our concept. We Crociferi, Located in Canareggio, a district in the core of Venice, where we experienced a genuinely unique atmosphere, just a few minutes away from Fondamente Nuove. In this little square, we found a hidden gem, the old Oratory of the Crociferi. Built in the 12th century, and served as a chapel. Paintings of the 15th century by Jacopo Palma tell a vivid story of this amazing place. We stayed at the We Crociferi and had the opportunity to photograph a big part of our destination wedding editorial around its premises.

Enjoy.

Wedding in Varkiza – Island Gallery wedding: Alex & Maite

Wedding photographer island art and taste // The wedding photography album presentation clip, for a most amazing  couple and  their special wedding day at Island Gallery – Varkiza. We are very enthusiastic for sharing this wedding video clip as it carries loads of Love, Friendship and Warmth. We are certain it will make you smile!

“How do I love you?

Let me count the ways.

I love you out of the box, so shiny, pink, and new

I love you with every pique, pirouette, tendu

Second skin of my feet, keeper of my sole

Every step I take, your virtues I extol

The lines you draw, the patterns you trace

At the barre and in the center, you fill a sacred space

Adorned with ribbon like a satin-wrapped prize

Hiding within elegance the pain you disguise

I love you in class, in rehearsal, and on stage

Treasure beyond measure, my spirits you raise

My road to ballet is paved with blood, sweat and tears

You are my companion persistent through the years

Vertical suspension, the summit of my desire

You beneath me, the wings beneath my fire

From toil and struggle, the suffering for your sake

Comes dance so joyous, ever-worthy to create”

If we could see your last pair of shoes, worn out of dancing, we could still dance through every memory, and give these pictures something to keep in your heart. The very special story of a Greek boy and a Basque girl. Alex and Maite, whose story we yet cannot reveal.

Hina & Shamshir – Indian Wedding in Koh Samui

Wedding Photographer Koh Samui

“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. Its about learning to dance in the rain”

// Once upon a time and not so long ago in Koh Samui – in Thai เกาะสมุย the beautiful island off the east coast of Thailand, Hina and Shamshir made their dream come true.
We all know we can write the best chapters in life with love, and this was not plain love, it was destiny.
A beautiful wedding, in this amazing tropical scenery, that was as challenging an experience as a tropical monsoon. A wedding that will be remembered by all, as being very special, leaving us with a quirky smile for a number of peculiarities that we shall not reveal…

// We were overwhelmed by the endless dreamy tropical sandy beaches, the coral reefs lost in tides, in a tantalising composition of turquoise water, among jungles of  coconut trees, the island looked like a well-established Hollywood celebrity: outrageously manicured, with lovely blonde tresses so gracefully groomed. No other enviroment could be more suitable for this wedding.

// Meanwhile, and contrary to our plans, the weather was playing silly games around us, but the spirits were kept high. This was indeed a very special day and nothing special is ever common, even when it comes to storms. When destiny is present nothing can stop it from happening.

The Indian Wedding

// And there were beautiful people, colors everywhere, singing that turned wishes to love and love to more wishes. There were vows, bonding families and symbolisms that left us feeling blessed. A word Hina never forgets to utter. There was dancing in the rain and there was rain.

// We shall not forget the kind hospitality and spirit of both their families and loved ones. We were privileged to have been, to have seen, to have captured and to have shared. And to have added yet another couple in our family.

// Note to Hina & Shamshir > The name samui is mysterious in itself. We were told by natives that  the word “samui” derives from the Malay word “saboey”, or “safe heaven”. And this is what we keep.
