Suspended in time, designed by man under this endless Godly nature – in a composition of blues and greens. Passive and intriguing. Changing moods with every touch of light, carrying us away in its mystery. Trees standing still, as if to let the breeze compose a symphony.

Having ended one of our Vice Versa Hotel Photography projects in Karpenissi, we decided to take a break. It had often been in our plans, but we somehow never managed. This time it was going to happen The road around the lakes perimeter, a montage of beautiful images. The scenery was breathtaking, as the lake surrounded by high mountains, spread itself as far as your eyes could see.

The result of an idea, and the magic help of mother nature this astonishing scenery was created. Lake Plastira, a man-made marvel in Central Greece. A discreet retreat, with romantic hideaways and a magic mood, cant think of a more beautiful destination to organize your wedding, leisure or pleasure. Beautiful stone guest houses with a lake view, equipped with all modern comforts to accomodate the most demanding. guests. Our personal experience at the Pandion Hotel Resort was amazing. An exceptional hospitality and high quality service.

Right there and then, We had already decided on the concept of our next bridal photo shoot. Irrevocably and confirmed. The perfect background for a stylish wedding dress. Laces and ruffles blending into this amazing scenery, passive but intense, ever so intriguing. It took one message, three snapshots and a phone call to the right receiver. A bridal styled shoot was already on its way.

The reeds sway gently; the trees are still.
In view of a cloudless sky,
all feathered against the autumn chill,
the quiet ducks glide by.
The lake is calm a little more;
the ferns stretch, waiting, on the shore;
for a while, the world exists
as a mystery in grey and white,
’til the triumph of the morning light
over the thinning mist.

My Wedding in Greece

Choosing Greece for my Wedding Story.

Every love story is beautiful, yet every love story spins a tail as unique as the two individuals involved, and is most definitely one to be remembered and cherished. A story like no other ever written. Relatively speaking, there is no way to capture the essence of true love. The closest thing we have to dedicate in its honor is the wedding and the holy sacrament of marriage. Where two people declare their commitment to each other amidst family, friends and God, to witness and celebrate their chosen union. This is a pivotal point in a couples life as they now begin a new movement together. From this day forward, they will celebrate and remember this yearly anniversary as the day their two lives became intertwined as one.

The heart and soul poured into the planning of this monumental event is extraordinary. From flowers to invitations, dresses to cakes, each aspect is just as special as the next and requires thought and personal attention to make this love story their own. Many fortunate couples are able to host destination events, where friends, family and invitees all attend locations abroad. One of the most intricate and beautiful of choices in locations that I have seen are weddings that are organized around traditional, and ceremonial landmarks, such as Greece. Greece is world reknown for its beauty and aesthetics. It all probably started with Cinderella. Or maybe not. But shoes have escaped boxes and closets and have become a passion an obsession and a fetish.

Imagine their importance out of everyday life in the context of the most important day in your life. The day you join paths with your own prince and take your place by his side.

That will transform a seemingly plain photo into a fairy tale. It will reveal the expectation, the frustration and the deduction behind your choice. It will highlight your taste.

Imagine. They started off untouched, unmoved, lying carelessly, or not, in the middle of the room. Waiting to be done – or undone. Beauty untouched, unblemished and still. And they had a dream. To become the dream of a girls personal story, to wander around, to dance her away to lead her to her destiny. To be tied from your father’s trembling hands, to guide you through the tears of your loved ones. To be filled with your girlfriends’ names. Fairies that stood by you as guardian angels, through troubles and joy. And you know as the Greek tradition demands, you as the bride, have to write the names of your friends that are not married yet to the soles of your new wedding shoes. Those that will be erased by your steps through the church aisle, your first dance and the wild party, will get married! :-)

This is your captain speaking. Good afternoon Ladies and gentlemen, welcome onboard Flight V&T with service from Cyprus to Sifnos. We are currently in line for take-off and are expected to be in the air for approximately… a lifetime. We ask that you please fasten your seatbelts at this time and join us in this journey called life. We also ask that your seats and table trays are in the upright position for it is party time. Please keep all personal electronic devices on, including cell phones and cameras and enjoy the ride. Partying is of course not prohibited for the duration of the flight. Thank you for honouring us with your presence. Enjoy our flight.

And so the story begins… for Vassiliki & Terry… Who tasted flight (may we be permitted to rephrase Leonardo da Vinci) and will forever walk the earth with their eyes turned skyward, for there they have been and there they will always long to return.

They took their vows at the beautiful church of Chryssopigi in Sifnos with their beloved family and friends. The party yet another flight lasted all night at Cafe Folie!

We were honoured with their trust (it took us only one phone call) to share and capture this beautiful wedding. Knowing them has been a privilege. Our wishes along the wedding photos we captured will always be with them.
