02 | CHRISTENING PHOTOGRAPHY
As with weddings and every project the studio takes on, a christening is approached as more than event coverage. We look for the story inside the day, and ask parents to put into words this new chapter of their life, the new responsibilities and the new feelings it brings, whether as a short text, a single sentence, or a voice recording woven into the final film.
For a christening, our effort is directed toward the child. Our aim is to leave behind something a son or daughter will cherish and value in years to come, a legacy of the parents who gave it to them. This intention is what sets the work apart at every level, from the approach on the day through to a printed album included as part of what is delivered.
We consider christenings private occasions, and we treat them as such. Out of respect for a child's age and the family's privacy, full galleries are not published. A small number of images from selected christenings are shown here as a glimpse of the work. To see a complete story and discuss what the studio offers, book an appointment.

03 | Our APPROACH TO CHRISTENINGS
Many of the families we photograph for a christening are couples whose wedding story the studio already told. Returning for this day feels like a natural continuation, a chance to carry a couple's story into its next chapter and to be part of the joy it brings.
A short conversation still comes first, so we understand the dynamics, the venue, and the atmosphere the day should hold. Little planning is needed beyond this exchange. What matters more is how the day itself is met.
Inside the church, we work as a quiet presence. The Orthodox rite is followed at a respectful distance, without staging, direction, or interruption. Photography here is restrained by design, in keeping with the nature of the mystery itself.
Once the ceremony ends, a short family session follows, away from the crowd and the formality of the rite. This is where the work becomes more deliberate, portraits built around the child, the parents, and the wider family, in the style of a considered family sitting rather than event coverage. The album images, and the small selection shown here, are drawn from this part of the day.
For families who need the highest levels of discretion and protocol, whether due to public visibility or personal preference, we adapt fully to what the day requires. The studio takes on a limited number of christenings each year, so that the same attention given to a wedding can be given here too.
04 | CHRISTENING DELIVERABLES
The printed album is designed by hand in the studio, built around illustrations and, where they exist, the graphic design already created for the day, the invitations, cardboard signage, or posters used on the occasion. The result is an album that feels continuous with the day it belongs to, rather than a separate object added afterward. A keepsake album for the godparents is also available where requested, designed as a companion to the main piece.
A film of the day is available where requested, an optional addition to the photography rather than a standard part of it.
An optional christening day-after family portrait session is also available, set apart from the formality of the christening itself, for images with a softer, more playful feel.

05 | BOOKINGS
Our studio works on a limited number of christenings each year, in Athens and across selected destinations in Greece and internationally. Most christenings are covered within a single day, though the studio is equally set up for celebrations that extend further, a welcome gathering, a family session, or additional coverage where the occasion calls for it. Every arrangement is made directly with the family or the planner, kept personal from the first conversation through to delivery. If you are planning a christening and our work aligns with what you are looking for, you are invited to request an appointment.
