Τι κάνει κάθε γάμο ξεχωριστό; Μοναδικό και ανεπανάληπτο;
Οι άνθρωποι του. Τα χαμόγελα, οι ματιές, οι σφιχτές ειλικρινείς αγκαλιές και τα δάκρυα στα μάτια. Η χαρά και η ενέργεια που όλοι κρατάνε φυλαγμένη για μια τέτοια ξεχωριστή ημέρα.

Η Έλενα και ο Νίκος οργάνωσαν το γάμο τους στο Κιάτο. Δίπλα στη θάλασσα. Κάτω από τα χιονισμένα βουνά. Όπως τους ταίριαζε, με πολλή αγάπη. Και εμείς βέβαια δεν τους αφήσαμε σε ησυχία. Aπλές όσο και συνθέτες οι ερωτήσεις μας… Χείμαρος συναισθημάτων οι απαντήσεις. Γιατί αυτός είναι ο Νίκος και αυτή είναι η Έλενα. Και οι δυο μαζί ένα πυροτέχνημα.

Η εναλλαγή από την ένταση στην ηρεμία, και η ανάγκη τους να εναλλάσσονται. Αυτό το πάθος για ζωή, βρήκαμε κοιτώντας τα βουνά η βυθίζοντας το βλέμμα μας στο απόλυτο γαλάζιο της χειμωνιάτικης θάλασσας.

Το “μαζί” τους βρήκε με ένα τραγούδι και έναν χορό – έτσι όπως ταιριάζει να είναι για πάντα η ζωή τους. Ένας ατέλειωτος χορός.

Βρεθήκαμε κοντά τους, μοιραστήκαμε τη χαρά τους και νιώσαμε σαν να τους ξέραμε για πάντα. Γιατί έτσι δένονται οι άνθρωποι μεταξύ τους. Χορεύοντας στη μουσική που αγαπάνε.

Our wedding video complements our wedding photography. And we always like to reveal a story. The unseen. One that highlights details, that otherwise would be forgotten. One that reveals a different perspective each time you revisit your imagery.

So, for Evi and Amédée the question was: What if?

What if we had the ability to relive a day in our past
to travel backwards in time
to feel that special moment again

Their wedding took place in Hydra. Built in the shape of an amphitheatre on a slope overlooking the Argosaronic gulf, Hydra is one of the most romantic wedding destinations in Greece. Traditional stone mansions, narrow cobblestoned streets, secluded squares. But above all the banning of cars and the use of around 500 donkeys as means of public transportation, explain the reason why Hydra preserved its distinctive atmosphere through the passage of time.

An Island with a strong personality and aesthetics, that kept its special aura through time. A small hint was enough to make them fall in love with the island. A love at first sight, could not keep Amédée and Evi from deciding to get married in Hydra.

Following our preview post, we have prepared a highlight wedding video clip. A beautiful story of beautiful people, with smiles so warm and genuine, smiles with just the right touch of shyness filling us with this unexpected warmth that makes the world seem ever so beautiful.

So, for Evi and Amédée the question was: What if ?

It all probably started with Cinderella. Or maybe not. But shoes have escaped boxes and closets and have become a passion an obsession and a fetish.

Imagine their importance out of everyday life in the context of the most important day in your life. The day you join paths with your own prince and take your place by his side.

That will transform a seemingly plain photo into a fairy tale. It will reveal the expectation, the frustration and the deduction behind your choice. It will highlight your taste.

Imagine. They started off untouched, unmoved, lying carelessly, or not, in the middle of the room. Waiting to be done – or undone. Beauty untouched, unblemished and still. And they had a dream. To become the dream of a girls personal story, to wander around, to dance her away to lead her to her destiny. To be tied from your father’s trembling hands, to guide you through the tears of your loved ones. To be filled with your girlfriends’ names. Fairies that stood by you as guardian angels, through troubles and joy. And you know as the Greek tradition demands, you as the bride, have to write the names of your friends that are not married yet to the soles of your new wedding shoes. Those that will be erased by your steps through the church aisle, your first dance and the wild party, will get married! :-)

Mesmerized we remained after our second in a row trip to the island of Rhodes. The Old town still leaving its strong effects on us, as we strolled within the medieval walls exploring twenty four centuries of history. Fascinating medieval fortress-like buildings, the bastions, gates, narrow alleys, old houses, fountains, tranquil and busy squares making us feel like we had stepped back in time. The palace of the Grand Master, the cobblestoned Street of the Knights, packed with medieval inns that used to host the Soldiers of the Order of the Knights, one could almost hear the sound of the horses hoofs disappearing in the sunset. Images emerging from the strong impact of a variety of cultures and civilizations, Could not ignore the amazing Turkish district with the Mosque of Mustafah Pasha and the Yeni Hammam. The twelve hour boat trip back to Piraeus held for us yet more surprises. The magic spell of a constantly changing, sky we barely managed to keep up with.The clouds were so challenging to our solitary eyes. Spring breeze carried them back and forth dividing them into hundreds of forms and shapes. A strong lighting, then thunder, brought back life to our idle thoughts.

To quote on our favourite Henri Bresson “A photograph is to put on the same line of sight, the head, the eye and the heart”. We did just that, and wish to share it with you. We hope to keep on carrying you away…

We sometimes ask ourselves why we put so much time and energy in our Art. For some photography is a career, and a camera is their tool. For us photography is pure passion. Planning shots months in advance, sacrificing hours of sleep and free time, travelling long distances and spending hours dreaming of capturing images. Pondering on this question on many occasions the only answer that keeps coming up is that photography helps us transfer our thoughts, visions and emotions into a piece of visual art. And this in itself is life. It is always a privilege to work with people who understand and appreciate what we do, as in this particular photo shooting.
