ABOUT

An intimate wedding at Chrisopigi. Vassiliki and Terry travelled from Cyprus to Sifnos for a small ceremony at the cliff chapel above the Aegean. A pilot and a flight attendant, took the first step of a long travel and walked along a stone causeway to a single white church.

The wedding

A small ceremony at Chrisopigi. Vassiliki walked the stone causeway with her father; Terry waited at the chapel door. Family from Cyprus and Greece, close friends, no extended guest list. Greek Orthodox rites at the chapel above the water. After the ceremony, a slow walk back along the cliff path for a post-ceremony photo session. Reception followed at Cafe Folie till the early hours.

Our approach

Vassiliki and Terry first reached out to us by phone. After just one conversation, we knew what they wanted: a small wedding, photographed in a natural way. We let the day unfold and followed its rhythm, from the walk to the chapel and the ceremony, to the family gathered close and the long evening that followed. We simply captured what was happening, without staging anything. Two people who travel for a living, getting married in one of the smallest wedding chapels in the Cyclades.

The destination

Chrisopigi stands on a low headland in southeastern Sifnos, connected to the island by a narrow stone causeway. The small white chapel overlooks the open Aegean Sea. It hosts intimate and larger-scale weddings, with setups ranging from simple to elaborate. The light changes throughout the afternoon, offering soft tones for editorial photos and bright moments for portraits. For couples looking for a destination wedding in the Cyclades on a smaller scale, Chrissopigi is one of the Greek islands’ top choices.
