Paxoi, the island of fjord-shaped tropical beaches, spectacular rocks and sea caves, majestic domes, seas of olives meeting friendly harbours. We admit this beautiful setup always goes well beyond our highest expectations. Paxoi.The charm of this island will hook you, with its greenery running down to the glittering water, ever so blue it makes your heartache with longing, to be back.

Poseidon, the God of the Sea, broke this piece of the world off Corfu with his trident when he needed a god-deserving place to live his love with the Nereid Amphitrite. Any resemblance to persons and situations is purely not coincidental.

There is nothing more exciting than taking new steps, tο the magic that dwells around a new beginning. Xenia and Pantelis, so ready to dive into the most adventurous puzzle ever created, life. Fortunate to have been their storytellers, we had the opportunity to witness and capture beautiful moments that would narrate this story. Beautiful photographs of beautiful people.

We have always worked with unique couples who never cease to amaze us with their sense of adventure and love for each other. We always draw our motivation and inspiration from the people we meet along the way. Constantly looking out for the unique and the beauty within. But greater were Pantelis and Xenia, their families their friends their hospitality, their emotions and of course, the stimulating spirit they spread around these four unforgettable days. To all happily ever afters – to love wherever it may come from and wherever it may lead us.

Once on the far side of yesterday…

In a place neither near, not far, and a time neither now nor then, welcome to our world of Storytelling, where magic exists. Who can doubt it, when there are rainbows and wildflowers, the music of the wind and the silence of the stars?
Anyone who has loved has been touched by magic. It is such a simple and such an extraordinary part of the lives we live.

This story is not about celebrities or public figures. It is mostly about this particular element that makes you watch the stars and see yourself running with them. But you’re not really running, you are only flying.

Nothing could stop this wedding from happening, and nothing could change the fascinating energy that surrounded us. Even the foul weather of the previous days gave way to this exceptional event.

Athina is a highly prevalent public figure and an extraordinary person. An artist at heart, an actor, a designer, an Instagram influencer that counts over 967K followers, and a whole lot of other things. But above all, she is a genuinely generous and loving person with a beautiful personality and a down to earth honesty that makes her special.

Philip, the well-known hotel owner of Kivotos Hotels in Mykonos and Santorini. Modestly he will announce himself as a hotel owner with a twist. In his personality, you find a rocker, a dreamer, a teenager forever, a loving father, and so much more.

Deeply in love, the couple naturally chose this special destination for their wedding, at a particular time of the year, when the island seems almost private. The splendid autumn setting overlooking the sea gave the wedding a dreamy atmosphere.

Wedding Dress//

A cause for much gossip and hysteria was the brides choice of the romantic swiss-dot wedding dress by Celia Kritharioti. The wedding dress had long glove-like sleeves and a Victorian-style high neck cut, delicately embroidered and decorated with soft laces and light feathers. Her wedding dress spoke of the ultimate elegance, ever so appropriate for the most fashion-forward bride! Light curls were randomly held by small white flowers, forming a very fresh hairdo, a match to the impeccable makeup, both by Hara Papanikolaou

We had the opportunity to shoot her last bridal fitting with Celia Kritharioti. Our photo was featured as the cover for Hello Magazine.

Grooms apparel // Philip, a heart breaker in his total white look, eccentric and classy. The white suit was a surprise secret kept from the bride until the last minute. Had Athina gasp at the first sight. Her gasp and remark never fail to make us smile. Philip wore his happiest smile, and his magnetic personality was the total complement to such a special bride.

Grooms preps // The groom’s pre-wedding preparation took place one of Philips favourite suites of Kivotos Hotel, close friends and family, spicy boys jokes, drinks and laughter, gave us endless opportunities to capture exceptional photographs.

Bridal Preps // Athina was brave in having her bridal preps on the M/S Prince. A stunning 25-meter private sailing yacht, owned by Kivotos Luxury Hotel. The “Prince de Neufchatel” an old schooner with a vast history was to host this beautiful occasion, in an atmosphere of sophisticated luxury, romantic elegance and grace. We captured excellent photos of Athina during her preparation. Bur then again she is a natural.

First look // The “first look” earned a memorable exclamation. Well deserved, as Philip appeared at the dock in his total white look.

The setting was perfect. Kivotos, against the dazzling Mykonian view, unfolding into Ornos Bay.

Wedding Ceremony // Despite the rough weather, Athina was escorted by her father and brother, disembarked the Prince into a Riva, that transferred her from the yacht to the dock. The wind was blowing, and even though it was challenging for us to prevent the rough sea splashes from blurring our camera lenses, the images of Athina glowing in her ethereal wedding dress was our top priority. Beautiful flairs against the sun dramatically decorated this unique moment.

When Philip and Athina met at the dock, they couldn’t hide how ecstatically happy and how much in love they were. Family, guest, colours, the wind and the beat of the drums were celebrating this day in the most evocative way. Beautiful wild, colourful flowers (credit to the Petridis florists) decorated the passage leading to the tiny private chapel on the side of Kivotos The ceremony was just about to begin. Overlooking the sea, the backdrop was unbelievable. The service was beautifully intimate, emotional, fun and a lot of other things. The inevitable paparazzi were kept discretely away, bu at is fit for the occasion, we could see them trying to steal moments off this unforgettable wedding in Mykonos. After all it was the most expected wedding of the year!

#Transcendental Vibes

Wedding Reception // The reception that followed was epic. The wedding tables at the party were decorated with multi-coloured wildflowers while the beautiful couple made their entrance. Warm, soft, cosy blankets were available to the guests as of October in Mykonos justifies the title of The Island of Winds. Of course, this was only until music and dancing started to roll!

There was the first dance, live mermaids by the pool, water acrobatics dancing in the pool, credits to Defingou entertainment team, the traditional cake cutting while spectacular fireworks lit the whole bay of Ornos. A magical scenery.

The party dress // About the party dress, sparkly, sexy and ultimately partyish, a sequin silver mini dress by who else, Celia Kritharioti. Naturally, the bride won the show. Our photographs flooded with the energy of the most remarkable party.

Honouring their wish for privacy, we have not released but only very few photos from the wedding. We wish for them nothing less than the best, and for their life to be this relentless party.

Day after photoshoot // A few weeks later, a post-wedding photoshoot followed onboard The Prince, on a private and very intimate cruise. We cherish the relaxed images that reveal the essence of a relationship in all that is important to a couple in love.

Mykonos // And it has been a fairy tale wedding. A dream come true. Mykonos is the perfect romantic abode, making it one of our most favoured wedding destinations. Life is moving pictures, and each time we blink our eyes, the world shifts beneath our feet, And we shift along in an endless dance. To music that elevates the spirit, to a place of transcending beauty. This determines the nature of our photographs.

Moments, memories and dreams

It was one of the rarest times when we were first approached by the parents of the bride. As we are very personal about our connection with the couple, we were slightly taken aback. But life is about proving you wrong, Liza and Dimitris were the most adorable people we have ever met. They organized Tom and Eleni’s wedding with the ultimate care, elegance, and discretion rarely found on similar occasions.
Like a chip of the old block, these were characteristics that we immediately spotted on Eleni. We were instantly taken aback by her frankness, and the affectionate politeness directed through her eyes, to every word she carefully chose to utter.
The rare qualities in a blend of an untamed tomboy, a raving teenager, a rock drummer, an excellent pianist, and the stunning elegant lady. What a perfect match.

Tom is a restless guy, eager to get all the latest answers. Also a natural model. Voted best groom model of the year and the most talented Syrtaki group dancer we ever came across. Tom and Eleni alerted our interest to discover more about them. This interest almost instantly turned into comfortable intimacy and the need to connect. Our images are about connection, empathy and words that bring people together. They are also about the intention to care. Art is born from intention.

Their enthusiasm was contagious, and they had a way to compliment us for every effort made. There is no greater reward for us as wedding photographers, to have fulfilled their trust.

If we can work this story backwards, we can very honestly declare that we are very very lucky to have met this family, all members included, and privileged to have been their Storytellers.

Let’s not forget to talk about the time we spend together in Milos. We visited Sarakiniko for a post-wedding photography session and took them around the island on locations we chose especially for them. These special moments are an inseparable part of your wedding days. A day after session is always relaxed, organised to the last detail by us, so you can enjoy surprise locations and photos that express the essence of your relationship.

Milos is one of the volcanic greek islands Greek islands, sitting at the southernmost part of the Cyclades island complex. Milos boasts a magnificent colourful landscape and a coastline that counts more than 40 exotic beaches.

Standing out for its majestic ambience, the rich history, picturesque fishing villages, amazing food, Milos island is a timeless Cycladic gem that will steal your breath with its enchanting beauty. Unreal is the variety of scenery on this island. You will always find new hidden treasures to discover. Being home to the statue of Venus, which was found on the island and the stunning Sarakiniko beach, the island is a genuine paradise. Numerous caves, mysterious catacombs, and emerald beaches will charm and bewitch any traveller. The serene natural landscape makes Milos the perfect setting for romantic holidays, making it a particularly popular destination for couples.

// It had to be Amsterdam

It was apparent from the first “Dark and Stormy” sip at the Bukowski (compliments to Pepe). We have to admit that we have a soft spot for the Dutch or mixed couples that plan their weddings in Greece. Apparently, Niels found out and chose to live just a block away from our Studio. As you can well understand, being their storytellers was inevitable. That, and our mutual love for Milos.
Niels is the Greekest Dutch we have ever met, with so much potential, to be even Greeker. Myrto tops in our list of #bestsmilingeyes of the year definitely fell for that. They both share a raw, unedited honesty that makes the simplest things seem ridiculously significant.

Their exclamations of enthusiasm and joy, the impulsive expressions of love have been an endless inspiration for our photography.

And it was in the air, throughout the days we spent together in Athens and Milos, they never tired or hesitated to express this genuine heart for life. For us, this is the most essential ingredient for relationships that last a lifetime or even better, in “panta mazi”.

// The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in Ktima 48 a private estate that has been refurbished to the highest specifications to create an outdoor venue suitable for any event.
Its impressive coastal location, the small on-site chapel, the excellent facilities and boutique scale make it a very appealing alternative.

is all about relationships. What makes a world of difference, is the connection between people and how you can spot, understand, experience and interpret these relationships. We summon creativity, courage, and the vision to bend, or very often break the rules. And there are no second chances. It takes hard preparation, precision organisation, and endless creativity. Όταν τολμάς να βγεις στα ανοιχτά, η θάλασσα που σε χωρίζει είναι αυτή που τελικά σε ενώνει με τους ανθρώπους και τους πιο μικρούς απομονωμένους τόπους που αγαπάς στις Ελληνικές θάλασσες.

Να αφήνεις πίσω σου τη σιγουριά του λιμανιού, να βγαίνεις στ’ ανοιχτά, εκεί που ο άνεμος κυβερνά τη θάλασσα μέσα στον Ήλιο η τη βροχή, να αντιστέκεσαι στων φόβων σου τις τρικυμίες, να δίνεις νόημα στην πιο βαθιά ανάσα που πήρες, ανοίγοντας διάπλατα το θώρακα σου, μέχρι εκεί που γυμνή χτυπάει η καρδιά σου.
Να τη μοιράζεσαι, να γεύεσαι στα χείλη σου αλμύρα από τη θάλασσα, φιλί του ωκεανού, εκείνη τη μοναδική γκριμάτσα σου, χαμόγελο, αληθινή χαρά.

Όμως,

“Δεν χρειάζεται να υπάρχει θάλασσα για να προχωρήσει ένα καράβι”

Ελύτης

Σαν σήμερα, σαν χθες, σαν κάθε ξημέρωμα από τούτη εδώ την ιστορία μας. Πλέκεται σε ανάσες, σε λέξεις που έγιναν έννοιες χωρίς ποτέ να ονομαστούν. Έτσι είναι η αγάπη. Δεν έχει χρώμα, αλλά είναι ουράνιο τόξο, δεν έχει φωνή, αλλά είναι τραγούδι.

Είναι απέραντη, όπως η θάλασσα και ο ουρανός μαζί, όπως οι άνθρωποι όταν κρατιούνται χέρι χέρι. Και η μέρα γεννιέται, το φως μας πλημμυρίζει, γίνεται ζωή.

Κάθε ξημέρωμα, μια ιστορία

Κάθε ξημέρωμα και κάθε δύση, εκεί που ο Ήλιος γέρνει να ξεκουραστεί και οι βάρκες δένουν στα μουράγια, αυτή η ακαταμάχητη Αιγαιοπελαγίτικη οπτασία.
Αυτή που θα σε αφήνει άφωνο να αποζητάς, έναν ολοκαίνουργιο ορίζοντα σε κάθε ανατολή σε κάθε δύση. Αυτή.

Ταπεινή η προσφορά, απλή και απέριττη, σχεδόν θεϊκή. Να τη βρεις σε ένα ποτήρι ρακί στο σπίτι την Κύριας Μαργαρίτας, στην περιέργεια της Αννούλας, στον ενθουσιασμό της δασκάλας που στην τάξη της έχει μόνο ένα παιδί. Humble are the offerings, simple and modest, almost divine, to be found in a glass of raki at the house of Kyria Margarita, in the curiosity of Annoula, in the enthusiasm of the teacher whose class counts only one child.

We can still feel the echoes of their voices and all in one, composing a song, a wish and a hope scribbled on the sand, to be washed away, drifted in the currents of the sea, to be discovered by its sailors.

It is also about these aspects of the human, which one may fail to express, hidden within us, or even out there, above and beyond us.

In all that is transcendental, often as if by divine invasion into our vulnerable human nature, they overwhelm us. In these powerful images, we all become humble, ascetic, self-healers.

Η αλήθεια για τον διάπλου του 2019 είναι ότι τελείωσε :-)

Ήταν μια όμορφη, δύσκολη, μοναδική εμπειρία. Για εμάς, κυρίως λόγω του όγκου του υλικού που έπρεπε να παράγουμε, τις δράσεις που έπρεπε να καλύψουμε σε καθημερινή βάση και την επιθυμία μας να ξεφύγουμε από το τυπικό για να βρούμε την ουσία, που συνήθως κρύβεται καλά.

Από την εμπειρία μας η αξία που παίρνει ένα γεγονός όσο απομακρυνόμαστε από αυτό καταγράφεται από το χαρακτήρα των εικόνων και τα συναισθήματα που καταφέρνουν να σας μεταδώσουν. Και καθώς καλούμαστε να δούμε κ να καταγράψουμε πολύ περισσότερα από αυτά που ζει και αντιλαμβάνεται ο καθένας μέσα σε μια μέρα του διάπλου, η σύνθεση όλου αυτού του υλικού προκύπτει από το πως εμείς βιώσαμε ότι συνέβη.

Αυτό που ελπίζουμε να αλλάξαμε φέτος είναι η καταγραφή και η αφήγηση τους και να σας αφήσουμε μια ιστορία τελείως διαφορετική από αυτές που έχετε δει μέχρι σήμερα. Μια ιστορία με ψυχή που να αντιπροσωπεύει τον εθελοντισμό και το πνεύμα της Σύμπλευσης.

Life is moving pictures, and each time we blink our eyes the world shifts beneath our feet, And we shift along in an endless dance to music that elevates the spirit, to a place of transcending beauty. This determines the nature of our photographs.

How inspiring it is to be with people who are happy, who smile through their eyes and share their love.

One year ago today, a boy and a girl came into our lives. Like in all things, chemistry did its magic, and we had a story to tell.

Casey and Alex. Happening in Symi, one of the most picturesque and charming islands we have ever visited. Being very special for its unique architecture, the colourful houses and the ultimately captivating energy, the setting oozes charm. The mesmerizing crystal clear waters will bewitch you. Standing on the cliff above the port you have to hold your breath at the fascinating sunsets elegantly unfolding on the Aegean Sea. And we can go on and on, endlessly, as it is obvious we prejudicially love!

In so many ways, when you share your story with someone, it becomes a part of their story too.

A welcome evening took place, where else but Orsalia’s. The beautiful scenery, the elegant setup and the impeccable hosting, gave the guests the fulfilment and experience of Greek hospitality. A beautiful home, at the very top of Horio, overlooking the island, reaching as far as the shores of Turkey. Breathtaking, to say the least.

The pre-wedding party took place on the super-popular Poseidon Boat Cruise. Needless say it was a hit! Yiannis did his thing. Again.

Wedding Photographers lost in greek summer

Travelling is part of our job description. And one of the main reasons we love wedding photography so much. We have to admit that even vacations involve, planning, framing and imagining how we could offer you an unforgettable experience on each island, but make no mistakes we love every moment of this pre-visualization. So, every year we put pins on our map. Some of them we accomplish some of them we leave for another time.

We love to stroll around the islands, discover and feel its vibe, see and get to know the kind of people that would choose it for their vacation or their wedding and randomly, or not, discover our favourite locations and our favourite times of the day. This summer Astypalea had its pin and was our target. Astypalea, the butterfly-shaped island, located exactly where the Dodecanese meets the Cyclades, with the bluer-than-blue seas, the crystalline waters and the beautiful beaches is for any visitor a unique discovery.

Love at first sight. As you disembark, you immediately feel the calm of the island. Νothing like the usual port, Agios Andreas is the first hint of what you are about to discover.
The endless snake-shaped country road led us through rocky brown hills under the bluest sky to an even bluest seashore. The air smelled of thyme and the golden sun was caressing our faces. Not a hint of wind this day, the sea was glowing silver wherever you set your eyes. This was so close to paradise. Or was it?

We have visited quite a number of islands, many of which are already listed in our favourites. And this is to be one of them.
Here everything runs at your own pace, to compliment your senses and welcome your stay. And all is well. With the world.
On an impulse I found myself to exclaim “I’m happy” Just like you feel when you’re in love. And here you will always find something special to love.

The island charmed us with its beauty and embraced us in its tranquillity and harmony. There is something contagious about this peace.
The main village, Chora unfolds itself from the top of the hill, through the dominating Venetian castle, the whitewashed houses down to our feet. The Castle of Querini an amazing sight to see, royally standing on the top of the hill build in dark stone, a strange contrast to the white-walled cluster of houses around it. Uniform white houses, with blue stutters and wooden balconies in total balance. Very small churches clustered together is a sight we have never seen before anywhere in the Aegean.
The portrait of Chora with its white body and ocean blue heart, down to the age-old windmills on the ridges leaves us speechless.
The endless uncultivated land and hills bathed by the serene sea creating tranquil bays… we could go on forever.
Not intending to seem like another guide to the island, we could not resist a few words about what you shouldn’t miss.

Around the island of Astypalea

We took a round trip onboard the beautiful wooden sailing boat, owned by Avra Cruises. Ask for Katerina, you will fall in love with her voice. We were taken to places not easily accessible and scenery that took our breath away. We visited Agios Fokas, Kokkinos Gremos, Koutsomyti and Kounoupas. This is a trip you shouldn’t miss. It was a wonderful and memorable experience. From sailing skills to high standard service, the captain and his family crew did their best to share with us, their love for this island and the sea. Mouthwatering traditional food was home-cooked and served on a linen set table, with care by the captain’s wife, accompanied with the perfect temperature and taste of selected Greek white wine. Our senses were totally lost in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean.

We were on a bike. Not the ideal way to visit the island. Most beaches are reached on off-road rides and there is way too much dust especially if you are carrying gear. We missed our jeep. Noted.

Our next endeavour was Vatses and Kaminakia. Vatses is an amazing beach in one of the most unique spots on the island, a genuine Aegean treat. There is a beach bar on the spot, for the essential cold beer. You won’t want to let go. In Kaminakia we had a swim in the most gracious blue, lied in the sun and ended up having local goat meze and more beer.

We visited Steno, a very interesting location, right in the middle of the island, on a narrow strip of land that separates the island in two. For those of you that enjoy sunbeds and shallow waters.

Best cocktails in Chora @ Castro Bar – unbelievable view from the castle overlooking the sea
Best patisserie in Chora @ Arhipelago – our chocolate addiction reached top levels. Also voted for the warm rakomelo – must repeat!
Good food in Livadi @ the Taverna Gerani – in the company of the famous parrot that miews and barks, but missed to do us the favor.
Amazing alternative fusion tastes @ Akti – an indescribable view of the caldera – especially by night.
Left for last – Top of the top tastes, @ Almyra in Maltezana – repeat.
Worth being the reason to revisit the Island. Very highly recommended. Spread the news.

Accommodation – we liked the Avra premises, Provarma, Nirides and Tholaria, Boutique Hotels.
We also recommend Astypallea Villas, as clean, decent and spacious villas with honest and graceful service.

Swim @ Plakes, Ble Limanaki, Kounoupas and Koutsomitis. Also, two of the most beautiful beaches of the island are Kaminakia, where there is a tavern that serves boiled goat (stew), an island speciality, and Vatses, where there is a cave with stalactites and stalagmites.

Would we go back? Definitely. But let’s not hurry. We have a few pins that need our attention before going back to Magical Astypalea!

Our destination was a choice from the heart. The island of fjord-shaped tropical beaches, spectacular rocks and sea caves, majestic domes, seas of olives meeting friendly harbours,. We admit this wonderful setup always goes well beyond our highest expectations. Paxoi. The charm of this island will hook you, with its greenery running down to the glittering water, ever so blue it makes your heart break.

Poseidon, the God of the Sea, broke this piece of the world off Corfu with his trident when he needed a god-deserving place to live his love with the Nereid Amphitrite.

Any resemblance to persons and situations is purely not coincidental. But.. in this island there was love. Irrevocably and confirmed.

And there is nothing more exciting than taking new steps, το the magic that dwells with each beginning. Xenia and Pantelis, so different, so same, so made to fit into the most adventurous puzzle ever created, life.

We have always worked with amazing couples who never cease to amaze us with their sense of adventure and love for each other. We always draw our motivation and inspiration by the people we meet along the way. Constantly looking out for the unique and the beauty within. Our personal development has given us a unique perspective on what it really takes to create truly memorable photographs and a unique experience into the amazing wedding day. Photography for us is the bond between the past the present and the future. To succeed in having captured the intensity of the essence of life, in every hundredth of a second.

Paxoi was a great paradise… But greater were Pantelis and Xenia, their families their friends their hospitality, their feelings and finally the energy that will remain, forever and happily ever after – and here was a story that had to be told. Real photographs of real people.

And this party had to go on, so we followed them to Santorini. And of course an all-time favourite adventure – a private Catamaran sunset cruise. Far from the hustle and bustle of Oia, we had a breathtaking day on the crystal waters of the Aegean Sea, beneath the Caldera, around the Volcano and at the end of the day, the famous sunset of Santorini. And while the party was on, they drank, and they danced like there was no tomorrow.

Diving in the chilly sea was the only sober hint on the belief that life indeed is a party!

We were privileged to have been their wedding storyteller photographers, and we welcome them to our family of precious friends that is now growing larger and larger every day.

The couple’s preparation took place at a private villa in Anavissos, where much happened – as is “proper” on the groom’s side, while Alice was becoming even more stunning. Her makeup and hair artist, a personal stylist from Phuket and friend, left nothing unnoticed throughout the day and night. She wore an elegant wedding gown by Demetrios, her style matching her to the princess of the day.

Alice arrived in a shiny white carriage, mysteriously resembling a Ferrari, at Ktima 48 where the ceremony and reception took place. Its unique coastal location at the Athens Riviera is the ideal backdrop for this elegant and romantic wedding. Family and loved ones, from all over the world, were there to witness their love and wish them well in their new beginning and to celebrate their union until the early morning hours.

About Santorini

Santorini is a top-rated destination for your wedding or elopement, and wedding photography is prevalent.
Santorini is located in the middle of the Aegean Sea, between Ios and Anafi. When the ship approaches the island, you face the impressive steep cliffs and the whitewashed houses that shine like diamonds on the rocks. This unique landscape is the result of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in human history, which occurred in 1613 B.C. and literally destroyed the island. A substantial underwater crater was created (Caldera) and two volcanoes emerged from its centre, the Old and New Kameni.
