We keep thinking about how precious it has become for us to discover hidden treasures in people we meet along the way. How each time, a whole new world is revealed to us. How a fraction of their journey marks our own. There is an importance in these moments we share. In these moments, our whole existences converge, and this is transformed into a special bond of magic.

_She said yes

Maria and Martin got married in Folegandros. On a lovely summer day, when all was well with the world.

_Wedding in Folegandros

Folegandros was named after the Son of king Minos, Shining under the Aegean sun. This off-the-beaten-path destination, with its untouched beauty, totally captivates you. Whether it is the luminous blue, the unadulterated style of its timeless traditional Cycladic architecture, or the sculpted sunkissed seashores, you will fall for it anytime.

±Tips “rakómelo” try the famous spirit of the Island.

We relate!

Folegandros Chora, the small town built inside the old Castle dating back to Medieval times., is one of the most picturesque sights on the Island. Bougainvillaeas leaning over the balconies, sugar-cube whitewashed houses, and sheer cliff drops convey the Island’s ethereal and wild beauty.
This unique part of the Aegean, the azure waters and the secluded coves have always been an attractive and intriguing wedding destination, identified with memorable images. It is an unending inspiration for us, making our wedding photography an exceptional experience for your most romantic moments.

Vows of Love become a fairy tale on this small Island.

_About the day before

On the day before the wedding, families and loved ones went on a daily cruise to Katergo, located on the Island’s southern coast.
It is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island and one of the wildest!

A cocktail party took place in the evening by the pool at Fata Morgana.

_The wedding ceremony

The ceremony took place at The Church of Panagia the Virgin Mary (Virgin Mary)
An impressive whitewashed church waiting to be discovered, towering above the Chóra. A long stone path leads to it. Allegedly built on the site of an ancient temple, the church hosts ancient immured inscriptions and statues of pedestals in its yard and interior. Tradition has it that the silver-plated icon of the Virgin Mary is miraculous. Linked to pirate stories, the icon is carried around the town in a procession held yearly on Easter Sunday.

Martin, his family and friends walked up the rocky path from Pounda square to the church.

Maria, accompanied by her bridesmaids, followed the same route to the top of the church, where Martin’s father and his best man were playing their trumpets in the ambience of this absolutely captivating scenery. Mr Hardenberger is one of the world’s leading soloists, and this was an extraordinary personal performance. The moments mellowed to the golden notes, and as the trumpets blew softly away,

The time had come.

We always take a step back when the bride’s father hands the bride to the groom. There are no words strong enough, and we stand still.

_The Greek Orthodox ceremony

The wedding ceremony of the Greek Orthodox Church is an ancient and evocative service by which a man and a woman are united together “In Faith, and in Oneness of Mind, in Truth, and in Love”, acknowledging that their Love is rooted in God, who is Love itself. The marriage ceremony is abundant with symbols that reflect the essential and vital elements of marriage: Love, Mutual respect, Equality and Sacrifice.
The Traditions observed today have special meanings and significance. These symbolic actions are often repeated three times, stressing the belief in the Holy Trinity, in which God is represented as the father, the Son, and The Holy Spirit.
In the Orthodox tradition, the wedding ceremony comprises two services. The first is the Service of Betrothal, or Engagement ceremony, during which the rings are exchanged. The second is the Service of Marriage or Crowning, during which prayers are offered for the couple, the crowns of marriage are placed on their heads, the common cup is shared, and the ceremonial walk takes place around the table.

After the bride and groom’s grand exit and the traditional rice toss, we whisked them away for some alone time, and the guests headed to the  Blue Cuisine for the wedding reception party to follow.

We could not resist taking photographs of the newlyweds on our way down the hill as the sun slowly set into the eternal blue of the Aegean.

_About the reception

A party that survives a one-and-a-half electricity shortage is a party indeed! No comments are required.

Top Highlights: Kisses for All

According to Swedish tradition, if the bride or groom leaves the reception for any reason, any guest can request a kiss from the newlywed left behind. Well, it was meant to be.

_About the next day

This Greek summer day found this beautiful unity of people sharing brunch by the seaside in Angali. The sense of completeness and satisfaction was overwhelming.

Images from the heart

For those meant to be...

As wedding photographers, our couple is the most essential part of a wedding. They are what this day is all about. They are all that matters at the end of the day.
We care to hand them back the courtesy of their choice in us. Precious memories.

We strongly believe in the importance of wedding photography. It will capture your memories; it will tell a story. But not just any story. It will reveal a beautiful story of your special day, a day you will never forget. A story that you can share with your loved ones. A story that will stay with you to treasure forever.

In this story, you will never see your flowers wilt, your dress shall not be worn just this once, and your shoes shall never go back into their box. This is our perspective and our promise to you.

How a fraction of their journey marks our own. There is an importance in these moments we share. In these moments, our whole existences converge, and this is transformed into a special bond of magic.

_She said YES!

Marina and Ernesto got married in Corfu. On a lovely summer day, when all was well with the world.

_Wedding in Corfu

Corfu has an enormous cultural heritage and exceptional glamour, a source of inspiration for us. Combined with innumerable natural beauties and a unique aura, it is one of the most attractive wedding destinations. It is known that the island of Corfu has always been identified with mythical images. We relate.

Vows of love become a fairy tale in the streets of the historic village of Kassiopi. For us as destination wedding photographers, the old town’s backdrop is an unending inspiration, making our wedding photography an exceptional experience for your most romantic and fabulous moments.

Weddings in Corfu are all about finesse and destination melding to perfection. Marina & Ernesto’s stunning Greek-Cuban-Catholic wedding was a true homage to elegance and love. They absolutely fell in love with Corfu, but they had one more reason to do so, as Marina’s mother hails from these parts.

_About the day before

On the day before the wedding, a wonderful group of friends and loved ones were formally invited ar the Corfu Palace Hotel for a welcome party by the pool. A luxury hotel in the heart of Corfu Town, overlooking the 15th-century Old Fortress and the majestic Garitsa Bay was the ultimate introduction to the Corfu experience, with a touch of royalty, reflecting the traditional Corfiot finesse and romance.

A multi-cultured group of guests from around the globe made this a very colourful party.

_The Ceremony

The Catholic ceremony took place at Saint Jacob’s Cathedral in the Old city of Corfu.
Saint Jacob’s Catholic Church is one of the most beautiful 16th-century architectural creations one can find in the old town of Corfu. The facade of the Cathedral is similar to Venetian temples, so typically baroque.

His family and loved ones accompanied Ernesto, and a group of traditionally dressed Corfian musicians walked him to the church. There was a feeling that the whole town was attending in one way or another.
In anticipation, Marina was also accompanied by her father and the traditional Corfian guitarists, playing in the ambience of these extraordinary moments.
We always take a step back when the bride’s father hands the bride to the groom. This moment is absolutely captivating.

The ceremony has begun, and passages from Holy Bible are being read by the priest while the couple exchanges vows of eternal love.
After the bride and groom’s grand exit and the traditional rice toss, we whisked them away for some alone time, and the guests headed to the Triklino Estate for the elegant reception party to follow.

We could not resist taking photographs of the newlyweds in this historic town with so much of the Venetian grace.

_The reception | Triklino Estate

Triklino Estate is where nature, luxury and history meet. Offering total serenity in acres of centenary olive groves, cypress and oak trees, a true fairy tale.
The decor was everything one could imagine. But more. Victoria Martini and her team did an outstanding job filling the space with fairy lights, elegant centrepieces and chandeliers.
The floral arrangements were stunning. Delicate flowers were placed on the table surrounds and coverings. It was a woodland fairytale forest brought to life in a way that would convince even the most sceptical of guests that fairytales do exist.

This party was spectacular!

Koufonisia. This magical cluster of two islands, the smallest islands in the Cyclades. A fishing village that still retains its extraordinary unspoiled beauty. Koufonisia are famous for their heavenly waters and enchanting natural scenery. Lonely beaches, sparkling sea, sculpted Aegean rocks, picturesque whitewashed houses, on an island with unique tranquillity and energy that seduces you into the carelessness of your teenage years.

_Angeliki & Foivos

No further comments. Love itself is exuberant. And it occupies everything that surrounds it, everything that concerns it.

The iconic white windmill to the left of the harbour waterfront that seems to welcome you was the meeting point for this vast group and the starting point for what was to follow on the wedding day.
Pre-wedding party #Mylos Bar

The wedding ceremony took place in the picturesque church of Panagia in Kato Koufonisi. Boats (called kaikia in Cyclades), like white strokes in the sea, colourful figures, voices, and life. May this new beginning, the continuation, and eternal love pass into another dimension.

Pori. A dream beach very often referred to as paradise. This is only fair. Here, the unique environment, designed and built by MRCO, with a chic boho mood, is perfectly harmonious with the natural environment in Pori. Always a surprise to see such a transformation.

Perhaps one of the most intense parties for this summer. Special thanks to Sakis Rouvas, whose presence always starts a small revolution.
This party was spectacular!

Destination Wedding Photography does not have to follow stereotypes. And this is a choice we made a long time ago. In our fascinating world of Storytelling, every one of our couples must remain unique.

Cinematographer Astypalea // Travel Diaries

An unspoilt island, your unique destination

Cinematographer Astypalea

Take me back to those brown, rocky mountains,
to that long, winding road,
to the brilliant sun,
shining in a clear, blue sky.”

Astypalea Cinematographer

“Sea, autumnal sweetness, islands bathed in light, the diaphanous cloak of delicate rainfall clothing Greece’s eternal bareness. “Happy the person,” I thought, “who is deemed worthy, before dying, to sail the Aegean.” This world offers many pleasures: women, fruit, ideas. But I think no pleasure exists that plunges a person’s heart into Paradise more than the joy of cutting across this sea on a gentle autumn day, murmuring the name of each island. Nowhere else are you transported from truth to dream with such serenity and ease. Boundaries fade; the mast of even the most dilapidated ship sprouts buds and grapes. Here in Greece, truly, necessity blossoms most certainly into a miracle.

― Nikos Kazantzakis, Zorba the Greek

Aura the mortal daughter of the Titan. Gliding in the wind like the air, she vanishes and appears bringing along with her, this irresistible breeze.

Our very own Aura. An old schooner, rich in tales and endless sails. At the far edge of the Aegean Sea, our island. Refuge to those who seek unique and carefree holidays, on secluded beaches, listening only to the sounds of the sea and happiness. Until the next summer.

Some will say we organize cruises. This is only part of the truth. What we actually do is share with you an unforgettable experience. To remember, look back to and dream for.

Cinematographers lost in greek summer

Travelling is part of our job description. And one of the main reasons we love wedding photography so much. We have to admit that even vacations involve, planning, framing and imagining how we could offer you an unforgettable experience on each island, but make no mistakes we love every moment of this pre-visualization. So, every year we put pins on our map. Some of them we accomplish some of them we leave for another time.

We love to stroll around the islands, discover and feel its vibe, see and get to know the kind of people that would choose it for their vacation or their wedding and randomly, or not, discover our favourite locations and our favourite times of the day. This summer Astypalea had its pin and was our target. Astypalea, the butterfly-shaped island, located exactly where the Dodecanese meets the Cyclades, with the bluer-than-blue seas, the crystalline waters and the beautiful beaches is for any visitor a unique discovery.

Love at first sight. As you disembark, you immediately feel the calm of the island. Νothing like the usual port, Agios Andreas is the first hint of what you are about to discover.
The endless snake-shaped country road led us through rocky brown hills under the bluest sky to an even bluest seashore. The air smelled of thyme and the golden sun was caressing our faces. Not a hint of wind this day, the sea was glowing silver wherever you set your eyes. This was so close to paradise. Or was it?

We have visited quite a number of islands, many of which are already listed in our favourites. And this is to be one of them.
Here everything runs at your own pace, to compliment your senses and welcome your stay. And all is well. With the world.
On an impulse I found myself to exclaim  “I’m happy” Just like you feel when you’re in love. And here you will always find something special to love.

The island charmed us witch its beauty and embraced us in its tranquillity and harmony. There is something contagious about this peace.
The main village, Chora unfolds itself from the top of the hill, through the dominating Venetian castle, the whitewashed houses down to our feet. The Castle of Querini an amazing sight to see, royally standing on the top of the hill build in dark stone, a strange contrast to the white-walled cluster of houses around it. Uniform white houses, with blue stutters and wooden balconies in total balance. Very small churches clustered together is a sight we have never seen before anywhere in the Aegean.
The portrait of Chora with its white body and ocean blue heart, down to the age-old windmills on the ridges leaves us speechless.
The endless uncultivated land and hills bathed by the serene sea creating tranquil bays… we could go on for ever.
Not intending to seem like another guide to the island, we could not resist a few words about what you shouldn’t miss.
