The Event

Maria and Andreas held their wedding reception at Balux Privé, on the beachfront of Asteras in Glyfada. The venue sits directly on the sea,terrace, open sky, the Athens Riviera light at dusk and after. Yard organised the evening. Antonis Remos performed live. The guests danced through the night.

Our Approach

Balux Privé at night is a layered environment, the venue's own light, the sea beyond it, the stage light that takes over when the performance begins. Each requires a different eye and a different distance. We moved between all three through the evening, never staying in one register long enough to miss what was happening in another.

A live performance at this level demands specific preparation. The light changes fast, the crowd moves with it, and the moments that matter are often the ones between songs rather than during them.

The Destination

Balux Privé sits within the Asteras complex in Glyfada, one of the most established beachfront venues on the Athens Riviera. The combination of the sea, the open terrace and the quality of the Riviera light at sunset gives an event there its own register, one that enclosed venues cannot replicate.

For a wedding film, Balux Privé offers the sea as a constant backdrop, a performance space for live music, and the particular energy of a reception that runs from sunset into the night.
