ABOUT
Ioanna's christening took place at Ktima Nasioutzik, a family estate just outside Athens in Spata, with its own chapel of Saint George set among the property's gardens and olive groves.
The CHRISTENING
We've returned to Ktima Nasioutzik several times over the years, and each visit, the estate's mix of countryside quiet and Byzantine-inspired architecture gives the day a different character than a church in the city. The day's styling was arranged by an event planner we've worked alongside before, setting the tone before the ceremony even began.
We arrived early to photograph the setup, covered the ceremony at the estate's chapel, then moved into a post-ceremony family session while the light and the grounds were still working in our favor.
Our approach
Having every part of the christening within the same premises gave us time to pace ourselves and explore. Soft morning light in the gardens, a quiet chapel interior, and enough space for a family session once the ceremony ends. We carried that same visual language into a bespoke album we designed for the family afterward, a keepsake that holds the day beyond the photographs themselves.
