The wedding
Eleni and Tom’s wedding came to us through her parents. Liza and Dimitris reached out first, which is rare in how we usually begin a commission. They had already shaped the day with care and clarity, and everything that followed carried that same intention.
The wedding took place at Island Private House on the Athens Riviera. A contained setting that holds people close, allowing the day to move without interruption. A civil ceremony with speeches full of emotion we loved. Nothing needed to be added, only recognised as it unfolded.
The day was built around the people who organised it. Family-led, precise where it needed to be, open where it mattered.
Eleni moved easily between roles a pianist, a drummer, a tomboy and an elegant presence, often within the same hour. Tom matched her rhythm. Curious, direct, and completely at ease once the day began to unfold.
Island Private House supported that balance. Guests remained close, movement between spaces was natural, and the transition from ceremony to reception happened without friction. The structure was there, but it never imposed itself.
Our approach
We worked close to the day, but never in its way.
The Private House allows for this. It doesn’t require staging. It holds people within a defined space, so attention stays where it should. We let the day settle before stepping into portraits, and followed the pace set by the couple and their guests.
Photography and film ran in parallel throughout. Not as separate layers, but as one continuous way of observing and recording what was already there.
THE VENUE
Island Private House is part of the wider Island Resort on the Athens Riviera, designed to host weddings without fragmenting the experience.
Its scale is smaller than the main event spaces, with a lower horizon and a more contained garden. This creates a different rhythm — one that stays close to the people rather than the setting.
