Sifnos and another beautiful wedding to remember.

Amazing people, friends and families from Canada, Greece and England. It was the spirit, it was that magic skateboard that brought out that broad rascal smile that Pierre Louis shared with us each time we hinted on it. Maria, whose beautiful genuine and honest smile constantly overwhelmed us. The most challenging thing about photographing weddings is that all that is beautiful is true and all that is true is beautiful. It is a profound honour for us as photographers to witness two people joining their lives with such love and we were honoured to be their storytellers.

/ Lost in timeless serenity /

This time it’s Syros for arChive. The island where Greek tradition and western influence come to a harmonious marriage. And as this is Greece, beautiful beaches will forever delight the sea and sand lovers.
Ermoupoli, “the city of Hermes”, evidence of a glorious past still holds everything a Greek island should have.
The most striking feature of the island is the Venetian influence. Unique for the Cyclades is the medieval quarter of the Roman Catholic community and the fortress-like cathedrals. Ano Syros, a beautiful village hanging at the top of the hills with picturesque narrow streets, traditional whitewashed houses, archways and open spaces with a breathtaking view of the island, it is indeed a place to remember.

We spent hours scouting around the village and fell in love with it.

Wedding in Syros

/ Catholic & Orthodox Ceremony /

Orthodox and Catholic communities give breath to the island. Hence the double ceremony that took place in Syros for our lovely couple. Evangela & Isidoros, chose the groom’s hometown to take their vows. In an atmosphere of peace, reverence and respect both Catholic and Orthodox ceremonies were carried out with utmost sentimentality. We shared laughter and tears, the couple’s joys and hopes. And then there was dance, there was singing and there was happiness to last a lifetime.

We dedicate this quote to Evangelia, for reasons she alone will understand.

“The Tango is the ultimate communication between two people. It begins with an embrace, an initial sharing of affection, yet stresses individual balance. Having completed this journey, we were left richer and happier. Full of inspired images and beautiful feelings that will remain precious to us for ever and ever!

Wedding photography Hydra

Our wedding photography, more than a skill, is a passion that combines a number of things. New places, new people and emotions so strong that fill the days we spend with our couples with joy, happiness and immense creativity.

Hydra, one of the most romantic islands in Greece and an excellent choice to organise your destination wedding in Greece. Built in the shape of an amphitheatre on a slope overlooking the Argosaronic Gulf. Traditional stone mansions, narrow cobblestoned streets and secluded squares. Donkeys used for transportation, explain the reason why Hydra preserved its distinctive atmosphere through the passage of time.
As you walk along the waterfront, the heart of the town, you encounter monuments, churches, canons, museums, old stone mansions, statues of famous heroes, the old gunpowder store, shops and cafes, while picturesque winding streets lead you to neighbourhoods located at the upper part of the town, as well as to the old neighbourhoods. Such a romantic mosaic.
Hydra was the destination chosen by Natalia & Apostolos to join their lives. They travelled all the way from Geneva, to host their beautiful families from Russia and Greece. Friends from all over the world followed their happy days, witnessing their vows at the church of Agios Nikolaos. A tiny island almost drowned in the big blue, a five-minute ride by the sea taxi, that holds all the characteristics of the beauty of the Saronic Gulf. As small as it was, it embraced every smile, laugher and happiness. It embraced life. The bride’s arrival by a small boat was like an honour for a Princess. A tiny flower girl in a pink tutu dress was there to throw petals for her to step on. Small boats around the island hosted the rest of the guests. Cheers and laughter echoing everywhere. It was the late hours of the evening that gifted us with a sky that was all we could dream for our images. Castello was our nest destination and the party went on until the morning hours.

Sifnos wedding Part I

This was a perfect start for a series of Sifnos Weddings for this summer. Never the same as any previous one, the island and our couples tempted us once more. To be different, personal and to come up with imagery that highlights their dreams, their very personal moments and the story of their lives.

It was in Sifnos that Fanis and Ioanna chose to reload. No place could be a more perfect match than this beautiful destination, with its whitewashed houses standing like pearls along the crest of the island. Unspoiled footpaths link villages under the warm changing light, so characteristic in the Cyclades, kissing the landscape and exploring the slopes of the mountains, to meet with olive trees, bays with aqua waters, offering that breathtaking experience that will mesmerise you.

Fanis and Ioanna, their beautiful families and their very special friends, took every extra step to make their wedding day extravagantly beautiful. We have laughed and we have cried. We have enjoyed and we have lived. Their dream became ours to share and preserve. Every moment was irresistibly inspiring. Being their photographers on their three-day wedding was nothing like common. We wish for them the best from our hearts and we thank them for their trust and friendship.

Thank you Fanis & Ioanna for sharing so many happy moments with us and may they last forever. We also thank My Best Wishes Events & Vasso Vantali for organizing the event.

From Norway to Kardamyli with Love – Kardamyli Wedding Photographer

Wedding photography in Greece gives you a very good excuse to travel to all kinds of lovely places. But this time it was close to my homeland and being a wedding photographer there gave me and Angela the opportunity to filter images through the emotions of a lovely Norwegian Couple. Tom and Line.

Kardamyli, a spectacularly beautiful coastal village in Mani, 36 km south of Kalamata and approximately 3 hrs drive from Athens. Caught halfway between the deep blue of the Aegean and the rocky bones of the Taygetos Mountains, with the incredible beauty of stark contrasts. It is, itself, trapped between the medieval world and the modern era. Right there, at the very edge of the foothills of Taygetus, reaching out into the Messinian Bay, beautiful pebble beaches and crystal clear waters, is where we met Tom & Line. A beautiful couple from Norway, who fell in love with Kardamyli, the perfect paradise for a perfect wedding day and a perfectly beautiful family who joined them. We believe its hard to find a more stunning setting to make your marriage vows! Tom & Line had their wedding in Kardamyli and we were privileged to be their witnesses at the Town Hall but also their storytellers. Photoshooting for their wedding brought about sentiments and images that will be held precious through time to safe keep and preserve happiness, joy and special values.
