We began with a simple question.
“What do you call her?” we asked.
“Sunshine,” he said.
She smiled. It stayed with them through the rest of the day.
Abby and Dimitrios brought people in from the United States and beyond for a wedding at Island Private House on the Athens Riviera. Close, deliberate, and built around time spent together rather than anything imposed on it.
The wedding
The day began at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso, where Abby prepared before the ceremony. From there, the wedding moved to Panagia Faneromeni, a church that carries its own weight without needing anything added to it.
The reception followed at Island Private House on the Athens Riviera. The visual direction was clear — soft tones of peach and gold, used with restraint. The setting allowed it. The house holds the gathering within a defined space, so movement between moments feels continuous rather than staged.
A professional planner supported the day from the start, allowing everything to run precisely without entering the foreground. The result was a wedding that remained focused on the couple and their guests, not on logistics.
Our approach
We stayed with the pace of the day.
Island Private House works well for this kind of wedding. It removes distance between people, so the focus remains on what is happening rather than where it is happening.
We waited before moving into portraits, letting the light settle and the energy of the reception build. Film and photography ran in parallel, following the same sequence without interrupting it.
The venue
Island Private House is part of Island Resort on the Athens Riviera, designed for weddings that prioritise proximity and flow over scale.
Its smaller footprint, garden setting and direct relationship to the light create a different rhythm from the larger event spaces on the property.

In their own words
What a pleasure it was to work with Angela and Giorgos! rChive's professionalism and high quality work is evident as soon as you step foot in their impressive studio. They took the time to get to know us as a couple and incorporated our personalities into the final product. They went the extra mile to make sure we had a variety of beautiful photos that truly captured the essence of our relationship. The album layout and presentation of our wedding showcased the work of true visual artists! Thank you Angela and George!
