ABOUT

A summer wedding at Ktima 48 on the Athens Riviera. Niels came from the Netherlands, Myrto from Greece, and together they built a celebration that moved between the chapel in Ktima 48 above Sounio Bay, the reception courts and eventually a cruise to Milos with their closest friends. Wedding photography that had no interest in looking like wedding photography.

The wedding

The summer ceremony took place at the chapel overlooking Sounio Bay, followed by a warm reception in the courts of Ktima 48, Anavissos. The celebration carried the energy that Niels and Myrto had set from the beginning — present, unguarded and entirely their own. After the wedding day, their closest friends joined them on a cruise to the blue of Milos. The story continued in the Aegean.

Our approach

Wedding photography does not have to look like wedding photography. What makes the difference is the connection between people — and the ability to spot, understand and interpret those connections as they happen, without a second chance to get them right. With Myrto and Niels we crossed whatever boundaries the day offered and responded to what we found.

A few days after the wedding a small yellow note arrived at the studio:

"Angela & George, the effort you put during the wedding, the commitment you showed, the excitement — followed by loud sounds of wooow — you carried and the positive attitude you had stood out to us, along with the extra mile you went. We CANNOT wait for the review. M&N"

Niels returned to the studio twice more after that. Some things you do not forget.

The Venue

Ktima 48 sits on the Athens Riviera at the 48th kilometre of Leoforos Athinon Souniou, Anavissos. A beachfront estate with a chapel above Sounio Bay, reception courts facing the Saronic Gulf and Cape Sounio visible from the property. For destination weddings on the Athens Riviera, it is one of the most considered venues on the mainland coast. For couples who want to extend the celebration further into the Aegean, Milos is a short cruise from the Attica coast.
