Once on the far side of yesterday…

In a place neither near, not far, and a time neither now nor then, welcome to our world of Storytelling, where magic exists. Who can doubt it, when there are rainbows and wildflowers, the music of the wind and the silence of the stars?
Anyone who has loved has been touched by magic. It is such a simple and such an extraordinary part of the lives we live.

This story is not about celebrities or public figures. It is mostly about this particular element that makes you watch the stars and see yourself running with them. But you’re not really running, you are only flying.

Nothing could stop this wedding from happening, and nothing could change the fascinating energy that surrounded us. Even the foul weather of the previous days gave way to this exceptional event.

Athina is a highly prevalent public figure and an extraordinary person. An artist at heart, an actor, a designer, an Instagram influencer that counts over 967K followers, and a whole lot of other things. But above all, she is a genuinely generous and loving person with a beautiful personality and a down to earth honesty that makes her special.

Philip, the well-known hotel owner of Kivotos Hotels in Mykonos and Santorini. Modestly he will announce himself as a hotel owner with a twist. In his personality, you find a rocker, a dreamer, a teenager forever, a loving father, and so much more.

Deeply in love, the couple naturally chose this special destination for their wedding, at a particular time of the year, when the island seems almost private. The splendid autumn setting overlooking the sea gave the wedding a dreamy atmosphere.

Wedding Dress//

A cause for much gossip and hysteria was the brides choice of the romantic swiss-dot wedding dress by Celia Kritharioti. The wedding dress had long glove-like sleeves and a Victorian-style high neck cut, delicately embroidered and decorated with soft laces and light feathers. Her wedding dress spoke of the ultimate elegance, ever so appropriate for the most fashion-forward bride! Light curls were randomly held by small white flowers, forming a very fresh hairdo, a match to the impeccable makeup, both by Hara Papanikolaou

We had the opportunity to shoot her last bridal fitting with Celia Kritharioti. Our photo was featured as the cover for Hello Magazine.

Grooms apparel // Philip, a heart breaker in his total white look, eccentric and classy. The white suit was a surprise secret kept from the bride until the last minute. Had Athina gasp at the first sight. Her gasp and remark never fail to make us smile. Philip wore his happiest smile, and his magnetic personality was the total complement to such a special bride.

Grooms preps // The groom’s pre-wedding preparation took place one of Philips favourite suites of Kivotos Hotel, close friends and family, spicy boys jokes, drinks and laughter, gave us endless opportunities to capture exceptional photographs.

Bridal Preps // Athina was brave in having her bridal preps on the M/S Prince. A stunning 25-meter private sailing yacht, owned by Kivotos Luxury Hotel. The “Prince de Neufchatel” an old schooner with a vast history was to host this beautiful occasion, in an atmosphere of sophisticated luxury, romantic elegance and grace. We captured excellent photos of Athina during her preparation. Bur then again she is a natural.

First look // The “first look” earned a memorable exclamation. Well deserved, as Philip appeared at the dock in his total white look.

The setting was perfect. Kivotos, against the dazzling Mykonian view, unfolding into Ornos Bay.

Wedding Ceremony // Despite the rough weather, Athina was escorted by her father and brother, disembarked the Prince into a Riva, that transferred her from the yacht to the dock. The wind was blowing, and even though it was challenging for us to prevent the rough sea splashes from blurring our camera lenses, the images of Athina glowing in her ethereal wedding dress was our top priority. Beautiful flairs against the sun dramatically decorated this unique moment.

When Philip and Athina met at the dock, they couldn’t hide how ecstatically happy and how much in love they were. Family, guest, colours, the wind and the beat of the drums were celebrating this day in the most evocative way. Beautiful wild, colourful flowers (credit to the Petridis florists) decorated the passage leading to the tiny private chapel on the side of Kivotos The ceremony was just about to begin. Overlooking the sea, the backdrop was unbelievable. The service was beautifully intimate, emotional, fun and a lot of other things. The inevitable paparazzi were kept discretely away, bu at is fit for the occasion, we could see them trying to steal moments off this unforgettable wedding in Mykonos. After all it was the most expected wedding of the year!

#Transcendental Vibes

Wedding Reception // The reception that followed was epic. The wedding tables at the party were decorated with multi-coloured wildflowers while the beautiful couple made their entrance. Warm, soft, cosy blankets were available to the guests as of October in Mykonos justifies the title of The Island of Winds. Of course, this was only until music and dancing started to roll!

There was the first dance, live mermaids by the pool, water acrobatics dancing in the pool, credits to Defingou entertainment team, the traditional cake cutting while spectacular fireworks lit the whole bay of Ornos. A magical scenery.

The party dress // About the party dress, sparkly, sexy and ultimately partyish, a sequin silver mini dress by who else, Celia Kritharioti. Naturally, the bride won the show. Our photographs flooded with the energy of the most remarkable party.

Honouring their wish for privacy, we have not released but only very few photos from the wedding. We wish for them nothing less than the best, and for their life to be this relentless party.

Day after photoshoot // A few weeks later, a post-wedding photoshoot followed onboard The Prince, on a private and very intimate cruise. We cherish the relaxed images that reveal the essence of a relationship in all that is important to a couple in love.
