The Event
The wedding took place in Limeni, in the deep Mani. A landscape of fortified villages, russet stone and delightful coves that has resisted everything history has thrown at it. The ceremony, the celebration, and two strong personalities in a setting that matched them completely. An MRCO production, as considered in its design as the location itself.
Our Approach
Mani demands a particular kind of attention. The light is different here, harder, more direct. The architecture is austere. Everything has weight. We responded to that — keeping the work lean, letting the landscape and the couple carry the narrative. Sometimes words become inadequate when describing strong personalities and deep bonds. We make images instead.
The Destination
Few places in Greece carry the atmosphere of Mani. The southernmost peninsula of the Peloponnese, where the Taygetos mountains drop into the sea and the land turns spare and theatrical. Tower houses rise from rocky villages as if bracing for something. Byzantine churches, small and humble on the outside, reveal carved marble and painted domes within.
Limeni sits at the edge of it all — a small fishing village of stone houses built directly over the water, surrounded by the deep blue of the Laconian Gulf. For a destination wedding, Mani offers something most Greek islands cannot. Raw, undecorated beauty. A landscape with its own history and its own rules. A wedding film from Mani looks like nowhere else.
