The Event

The wedding dress was by Celia Kritharioti, a swiss-dot gown with long glove-like sleeves, a Victorian-style high neck, lace and soft feathers. The final fitting at the atelier in Athens took place before the wedding at Kivotos in Mykonos. This film is from that session.

Our Approach

The atelier session was not only preparation for the wedding. It was a commission in its own right, shot at editorial fashion level for publication. The images went to Hello Magazine as a cover. Working at that register, with Celia Kritharioti's team and a bride who operates in the public eye, requires a different kind of presence from a wedding day. We know that environment and we work in it.

This is the level at which arChive operates. The film, the editorial photos from the atelier and the photography from the wedding day at Kivotos belong to the same body of work.

The Destination

Kivotos sits above Ornos Bay on the southern coast of Mykonos, a hotel built in the Cycladic tradition with a private dock, a 25-metre sailing schooner and a chapel on the water's edge. For a wedding film, Kivotos offers the kind of setting that is fully self-contained, dock, yacht, chapel, terrace, bay, within the same property.
