Wedding Film From Symi

One year ago today, a boy and a girl came into our lives. Like in all things, chemistry did its magic, and we had a story to tell.

The Event

Three days on one of the Aegean's most quietly extraordinary islands. An evening at Orsalia's in Horio, overlooking the island all the way to the shores of Turkey. A pre-wedding cruise on Poseidon that needed no introduction. Preparations at the Old Markets Hotel, a restored national monument at the heart of Megali Strata. The ceremony at Analipsi chapel, reached by boat, surrounded by sea, the only human presence in the bay a small monastery full of paintings and quiet miracles. The reception at Ayia Marina went on until the early hours. The taxi boats eventually took everyone home.

Our Approach

We met Casey and Alex a year before this wedding. Chemistry did its thing, and we already knew the story was going to be worth telling. Symi gave us everything, the light, the architecture, the colour of the houses against the water. What we hadn't planned for was how moved we'd be at Analipsi. In those eyes, our focus blurred. We let it. Some moments deserve that.
