Portrait photography
“A picture is worth a thousand words” an old English outdated adage. As we are exposed to so many images in an era where almost everyone has a camera, we tend no longer feel, we only see.
But once in a while, we do come across pictures that tell whole stories in a glance, images that are really worth a thousand words.
A photographic portrait is a picture of someone who knows he is being photographed, and what he does with this knowledge is as much a part of the photograph as what he’s wearing or how he looks. – Richard Avedon
We like this definition. Because portrait photography is about people. Its is all about our subject. It is about You. A portrait picture should stir curiosity. It should stop and make you think about the subject; it should speak to the soul. For a striking portrait, you need intensity in the connection with your subject. To give heart to our portraits is our ultimate challenge.
